Q: Why don't you like PEAR?
A: I have nothing horrible to say about it. I just do not like it.

Q: Can it only be used on PHP-GTK2 applications?
A: You can use it on anything you want. You will just have to require the user to install the required runtime stuff first. Since people who are looking to run PHP-GTK2 apps have already done that, or are willing to do it, this makes itself more useful for other PHP-GTK2 apps.

Q: So this makes an install EXE?
A: Not really. It provides a 'setup.php' which is run by the PHP intrepter.
